Frequently Asked Questions


1. What are Mumtasy’s business hours?

– We are open Monday – Friday 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Saturday 12:00 am – 7:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

2. How can I place an order request?

You can place an order request for a mum or garter from Mumtasy when you:

– Click on a Mumtasy style and press request or press request on the ORDERS page, where you can pick out components you want, it can be discussed with you through the contact information you provide to process your order. Orders placed after hours will be processed the next day.

– Call or email and we can discuss options with you where we go through the form for you to process your order.

3. What if I want to order a mum or garter in something other than my school’s colors or a different size than you show on your website?

– We make custom orders and the pictures are used as examples, just fill out the request form and we can get started.

4. What type of payments do you accept?

– At this time Mumtasy only accepts cash, Venmo, CashApp, and PalPay but more options will be available soon.  
**A 50% down payment is required with all orders and the remaining balance is due when it is finalized to then schedule pick up.**

5. Why do I have to pay upfront?

.- It helps make sure customers pick up their design with all our hard work and the use of supplies to make a personalized custom creation. The 50% down payment helps secure items needed for your mum/garter designs.

6. When will my order be complete?

– All orders PAID FOR outside of the Rush, Urgent, or Emergency time windows will be ready AFTER 6 PM on Wednesday of your homecoming week for a Friday or Saturday game, or on Tuesday if your homecoming game is on a Thursday.  Orders are completed by the homecoming date FIRST, then according to when you PAID for the order.  You will get an email when your order is completed and ready for pickup. You will then be given an option for a pickup appointment time slot.

7. How do I get my order?

– At this time all orders for completed mum and garters must be picked up at a designated location or school. So if you send someone else to pick up your order, be sure they have a copy (paper or phone) of the completion email.
Pickups will be scheduled, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays before your homecoming game from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm by appointment only.

8. What can I do if I need to cancel or make changes to an order?

– Please call or email us as soon as you find out a change is needed.  What has been completed on your order will determine if there is an additional cost for a change.  Most changes can still be done even if it’s finished. Color changes will need a new order. We will only offer a refund if we have not already started your order. Once we start designing your order, no refunds will be made.

9. After my order is complete, can I make changes or add items to my order?

– Yes, you can add items and make specific changes except for color changes.  We want you to be happy with your purchase!  Certain fees will be charged for add-ons after completion, depending on the items and the amount of time and supplies it takes to complete.

10. I have a vision of exactly how I want my mum or garter to look. Can I give specific directions on where I want items placed?

– Absolutely! At Mumtasy we want your Mum Fantasy to come true. You can be as specific as you desire or leave the design process up to us.

11. Do I get photo updates of my order in progress?

No Photos Please –  If you are nervous or VERY VERY particular about your order it’s best to email us and request an appointment with the owner to talk about your mum before ordering.  We can only do this via phone. We will work with you on your mum’s order until you’re happy that we understand your vision. But please do not ask us to send you photos of your product in progress. This takes a lot of time for the number of orders we handle. It sounds simple to snap a photo and send it to your phone or email, but with a two-women crew, this can lead to an hour-long session about what is being done and no one is constantly in front of a computer screen because we are creating designs. As someone has said before, pictures don’t actually do them justice. It’s nice, but you don’t really see what you’re getting until it’s there. We hope that you will trust the company you hire.

12. What does the base price include?

– Each Mumtasy style shows what is included in the base price.

13. If I find an item somewhere else that I want on my mum or garter, will you put it on my order?

– Of course!  We will gladly put a special item on your order for you. At Mumtasy we want your Mum Fantasy to come true.
